3” Canyon Rim Thunder Egg HalfThis is a small half of a thunder egg I dug at the Polka Dot mine in Central Oregon. The small ones here used to not have much of a core in them and were avoided but in the current diggings I have cut quite a few of them and they are quite nice. I dug this from the PolkA Dot mine in Central Oregon

4 lbs and is approximately 7” x 6”

Inside some of the chambers there are longer quartz clusters with perfect terminations arranged in a small spray

These are sought after especially in jewelry

Cockerellites (Priscacara) liops - a species of extinct temperate bass

The matrix is also interesting with swirling and orbs

This specimen is approximately 3-3/4” long on a nice natural non trimmed piece of lake bottom silt stone that is 9”x5”

This has a swirling core of multicolored blue and tan banded agate around a small crystal core
