SaturnThe newest editions to my ready to buy furniture collection the planaid (planet) coffee tables. This one of a kind piece was made from one of the most incredible pieces of ash I have ever had the pleasure to work with. The flow of the grain and the colour variation through this slab are simply breathtaking. The table top is almost a perfect circle, with just a subtle hint of the live edge of the tree on two side. This organic touch brings so much to

being a slow growing

The fames was joined with a traditional bridle joint in each corner to add to the technical quality of the piece

Leth - the half moon vase

I chose to flip one of the boards and stitch the live edges together using butterfly inlays made from offcuts from the oak frame

giving a view of one of the four hand cut bridle joints which make up each end of the oak frame

cut from consecutive boards from the same tree and opened out like a book

This bench combines beautiful Scottish and Irish timbers
