Starry Night

Starry NightOver under images are our favorite to capture. We've been trying to find a subject for a sunset over under for quite a while. Dan nailed it when he found these enormous starfish in the shallows. It's hard enough during the day to balance out the exposure from the top and bottom portions but at night it's much more difficult. We used a really slow shutter speed in order to create the milky effect in the water which kind of mirrors the clouds which helped add to the calming

After spending some time with this group we must have gained their trust because they let us move around to the sunny side so that we could capture an image that would reveal more detail in this group of whales

We loved the way the sunlight was lighting up the sea floor
