I used several techniques to create this handmade ceramic vase. I threw the form on the wheel and hand painted the surface with several coats of slip (liquid clay) in a custom tinted sky blue shade. Next, I used a carving technique called sgraffito to create blossoms reminiscent of sakura blooms. For its second firing, I dipped the
